Please review the gear list (below) with your child to ensure that they are prepared. Waterproof outerwear and gloves will be the most critical necessity for beginners.
Please email Maddison Haffer, mhaffer@skiHV.com, with accurate emergency contact information (Names and Phone Numbers) for your child. This can include parents/guardians as Hidden Valley does not currently have your contact information. MAP staff will be on the slopes, but may not always be in direct contact with the students. In the case of an emergency, Hidden Valley will need to know how to reach you.
If you need to reach Melissa U. while on the slopes, her cell phone is 314-478-6898.
Please let Melissa U. know if you have any questions.
Participants will need:
Warm and waterproof outerwear (pants and coat)
Layered clothing - weather conditions are different each week and students need to have options to add/remove clothing as needed
Some form of eye protection - ski goggles or sun glasses
Based on Hidden Valley’s policies, a skiing/snowboarding helmet is optional. This type of helmet is different from a cycling helmet as it fully encloses your head. Helmets can be rented at Hidden Valley for $10 per day if you choose to do so. Students can bring cash the day of skiing/snowboarding. I also called the Alpine Shop last year and I believe you can purchase one for $60 and up.
Snowboarders can bring wrist guards and knee pads if desired.
