Impact Lab Summer Series
MAP's Impact Lab Summer Series gives rising 6th-8th grade students the opportunity to explore real questions and think about solutions to real problems.
Through Montessori principles and real-world challenges, Impact Lab camps invite young changemakers to think critically and tackle relevant issues through inquiry, connection with field experts, and playful problem solving. With a focus on empathy and contribution, participants learn to see themselves as thinkers, doers, and designers for a better world.
Rooted in Montessori principles and guided by real-world challenges, these hands-on camps invite young changemakers to think critically and work together as problem-solvers.
Take your ideas from curiosity to impact!

In this hands-on design camp for rising 6th–8th graders, we’ll explore how cities can become cleaner, greener, and more just by managing water wisely, reducing waste, and reimagining public spaces with care for people and the planet. Grounded in local context and real-world challenges, this week invites collaboration, creativity, and purposeful problem-solving.
Bring your bold ideas and help design a city that works for everyone. This is summer with purpose.

The Real Happy Meal (grades 6–8)
What is happiness made of?
Welcome to The Real Happy Meal, part of our Impact Lab Summer Series, where rising 6th–8th graders explore what happiness really means in a complex world.
Through hands-on games, creative challenges, and real-world investigations, participants will unpack how friendships, money, kindness, stress, and media shape our sense of well-being.
Working together, they’ll craft their own unique “happiness recipe” to bring more joy, connection, and purpose to the spaces they care about—at home, in school, and in their communities.
Bring your curiosity, your creativity, and your big questions. This is summer with purpose.
